My Rating and Review
★☆☆☆☆
After seeing this book pop up on my For You page on TikTok no less than 100 times I decided to give this book a shot. Not only did it seem a relatively easy read length-wise, but the plot sounded decent and everyone was raving about how great it was.
If I had to sum this book review up into three words it would be these: what a disappointment.
This book was an extremely difficult read, not because I struggle with big words but because the narrative was difficult to follow and the plot was so slow I had to re-read pages over and over before I actually consumed it. I didn’t even finish it completely because I guessed the ending 1/3 of the way in and didn’t want to waste my time finishing it. Long story short, I didn’t enjoy it at all.
This is one of the books that I use to determine whether or not I can trust another bookworm’s recommendation, and sadly it has been fairly accurate in weeding out book recs.
